Who we are:

We are a team of dedicated volunteers who work with our neighbors, local business owners, elected officials, and other community partners to help organize and participate in great community-building events and activities.

  1. What we do:

    1. We improve the quantity and quality of positive community experiences by organizing and participating in activities that foster dialogue and exchange.  We believe that a neighborhood is defined by the shared experiences of all its members.  Currently, TheNeighborhoodFirst.org is focused on the North Side of Chicago, including the Neighborhoods of Uptown, Edgewater, and Rogers Park.

  2. Our mission statement:

    1. To build positive neighborhood identities by fostering dialogue and exchange.

From the Blog:

How it works:

    1. TheNeighborhoodFirst.org partners with many local community organizations and community-oriented businesses that help foster positive neighborhood identities.  Though these partnerships, we are able to provide great opportunities of meaningful dialogue and exchange.
